What you will be able to do
- Identify the five essentials of the U.S. Surgeon General's Framework for Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being, describe what the evidence associates with peer support and with structural empowerment for nurses, and explain how the four structural conditions (information, resources, support, opportunity) diagnose why an approved improvement idea fails.
- Describe a specific application to your own practice setting: either a peer-support structure you will put in place (a named person, a recurring protected slot, or contact after a distressing event), or an improvement idea rewritten as a resourceable ask naming the change, protected time, cost, decision-maker and decision date.
