What you will be able to do
- Identify the home health Conditions of Participation the RN personally owns — the 48-hour initial assessment visit, the 5-day comprehensive assessment, the last-5-days-of-every-60 update, 30-day OASIS transmission, the rights notice before care, aide supervision on skilled and aide-only cases, and immediate reporting of abuse — and the activities that may never be delegated.
- Describe a specific application to your own home-care practice of one skill from the course — a targeted walk of the patient's night-time route, reconciling the medication list against the bottles in the house, a delegation decision run through the Five Rights, or teach-back that rehearses what to do when something goes wrong —.
- Report having made a specific change in your own home-visit practice (for example, ending caregiver teaching with a return demonstration and a call threshold, reconciling against the medications in the home, or documenting a safety incident as a visit condition).
