The Job Market Paradox

The Job Market Paradox is a 1-contact-hour course from HIVE Nurse, built by nurses for nurses. Nurses navigate hiring and departure on folklore, in a market where units are short staffed and new graduates still cannot get hired. This activity covers what actually predicts a first-year departure, why cold applications fail where a warm introduction succeeds, what to verify about a unit before accepting a position, and how to leave one without landing in a gap you did not plan for. Eight microlessons, completed in any order, including a case study of an applicant whose resume was never the problem and an appraisal of the finding that half of newly licensed nurses leave their first position within a year.
